FIDE Women’s World Chess Championship 2016

Held: 1-18th March, 2016. Venue: Potockis’ Palace, Lviv, Ukraine. Champion: Mariya Muzychuk. Challenger: Hou Yifan. 10 scheduled classical games. Time Control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move one. Tie-break games if necessary. Games on: 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 17th, 18th (tie-breaks). Rest days: 4th, 7th, 10th, 13th, 15th, 17th.
